Ha Giang – The place that marks the first strokes of the extreme North of the homeland, with its cool and fresh air all year round, is an attractive tourist destination. Sapa town, located in Lào Cai province, has an elevation of 1600 meters above sea level. The cool mountainous climate and pristine landscape are key factors that have made Sapa a famous resort in Northern Vietnam. Here, visitors can conquer the roof of Indochina, also known as Fansipan Peak in the Hoàng Liên Son mountain range, admire the Ham Rong Flower Garden, and explore the Muong Hoa Valley.
Itinerary
Day 1HANOI – QUAN BA TWIN MOUNTAINS - DONG VAN (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
Itinerary: Hanoi – Ha Giang – Heaven’s Gate – Quan Ba Twin Mountains – Can Ty Slope – Yen Minh – Tham Ma Slope – Lung Cam (Pao’s House) – King Cat’s Palace – Dong Van.
06:30: The guide and the bus will pick up guests in Hanoi, then proceed with the tour according to the itinerary. Hanoi – Ha Giang – Sapa Fansipan 5 Days 4 Nights Tour.
12:00: The group will have lunch in Ha Giang City.
14:00: The bus will take guests to visit Heaven’s Gate – an ideal stop to take photos and enjoy the panoramic view of Tam Son town and Quan Ba Twin Mountains.
14:30: Can Ty Slope – Stop to admire the majestic mountain landscape and take photos by the “Lonely Swaying Tree.”
15:30: Tham Ma Slope – A majestic slope historically used to evaluate the value of horses in the highland region. Also a stopping point for guests to capture beautiful souvenir photos.
16:00: Lung Cam Cultural Tourism Village – Explore houses with the distinctive architecture of the H’Mong ethnic group. A highlight is “Pao’s House,” featured in the famous movie “The Story of Pao.”
16:30: King Cat’s Palace – A royal residence showcasing the architecture of the H’Mong ethnic group, combined with decorative motifs and Yin-Yang tiled roofs in the Chinese style. Located amidst the valley of limestone mountains, it was the former residence of the most powerful lineage in the Dong Van Karst Plateau – the Vuong family.
17:30: Return to Dong Van town, check-in, and have dinner. (For private groups, a half-campfire can be organized at an additional cost not included in the tour; please contact the organizing agency.)
19:30: After dinner, guests can stroll around Dong Van Old Quarter with the guide or explore freely to enjoy the fresh air of the rocky plateau (self-expenses).
Day 2 DONG VAN - HA GIANG (BREAKFAST + LUNCH + DINNER).
Itinerary: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Nho Que River – Lung Cu – Ha Giang.
07:00: Breakfast for guests.
07:30: The vehicle and guide pick up the group and continue the tour on the road named “Hanh Phuc” following the itinerary (If on Sunday morning, guests can participate in the Dong Van market session).
08:00: Ma Pi Leng Pass – One of the four great mountain passes of Vietnam, where you stop to admire the majestic and beautiful scenery of the Rocky Plateau and below is the picturesque Nho Que River with its characteristic emerald green water.
09:00: The group visits the Panorama stopping point – admire the scenery of the Nho Que River from above and take souvenir photos (self-expense).
09:30: Nho Que River Cruise to explore the deepest limestone area in Southeast Asia, the “Tu San” gorge.
11:00: Lung Cu Flagpole – The flagpole is located at the summit of Long Son Mountain, the highest peak in the country’s northernmost region. At the foot of the mountain is the Lolo Chai village, where guests visit and interact with the local people of the Lolo ethnic minority.
13:00: The group has lunch in Yen Minh town. After that, the group continues the journey.
16:00: Bac Sum Slope – An ideal stop for taking photos and bidding farewell to the Rocky Plateau region.
17:00: The group returns to Ha Giang city, checks in, and has dinner. In the evening, guests are free to rest.
Day 3HA GIANG - TUYEN QUANG - SAPA (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
Itinerary: Ha Giang – Tuyen Quang – Lao Cai – Sa Pa.
08:00 AM: Breakfast and then continue the journey to Sapa.
09:00 AM: On the way, the group will visit and take souvenir photos at Km “0” in Ha Giang.
12:30 PM: Lunch in Tuyen Quang City.
04:00 PM: Arrival in Sa Pa town. The guide will take guests to visit Cat Cat village, the home of the H’mong people, a charming place in the valley at the foot of the majestic Fansipan peak. The local guide will introduce the daily life of the people in this ethnic group. After that, guests will continue on foot to visit Cat Cat waterfall and the Cat Cat hydroelectric station, built by the French in the early 20th century. Guests can enjoy playing and take memorable photos. Afterward, the group will return to the accommodation for rest and dinner. After dinner, there will be a stroll to explore Sa Pa town at night. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 SA PA TOURISM - FANSIPAN PEAK - O Quy Ho PASS (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
Itinerary: Sa Pa – Fansipan – O Quy Ho Pass.
07:00: Group breakfast, then continue the sightseeing tour.
08:00: The guide takes guests to visit Fansipan peak – the highest mountain in Indochina with an altitude of 3143m above sea level. Throughout the year, the peak is covered with mist, making it an ideal spot for capturing beautiful pictures and hunting for stunning clouds. (Due to the high altitude, guests can visit the peak using the modern cable car system.)
12:00: Return to the hotel for lunch.
13:30: The guide takes the group to visit O Quy Ho Pass, a trendy check-in point in the Sapa tour. Located at an altitude of 2000m above sea level, standing on O Quy Ho Pass feels like gazing through the entire earthly realm. From here, you can see the ethereal Hoang Lien Son mountain range in the early morning sunlight or Fansipan peak immersed in a white haze of smoke. Therefore, if Sapa is considered paradise.
Day 5SA PA – HAM RONG MOUNTAIN – HANOI (BREAKFAST + LUNCH)
08:00 AM: Group breakfast, followed by the tour guide and the vehicle picking up the group for the continued sightseeing journey.
09:00 AM: Visit the Ham Rong Mountain Tourist Area – Ham Rong Mountain is located 3 km from the town of Sa Pa. Visitors can walk there. Standing at the mountain top, you can admire the panoramic view of Sa Pa, Muong Hoa Valley, Sa Pả, Tả Phìn hidden in the mist. Nowadays, with human intervention, this place has become a scenic spot full of flowers and fruits of Sa Pa – Lao Cai, such as rose gardens, lavender flowers, etc. Visitors can explore and take pictures.
11:00 AM: Farewell to Sa Pa to return to Hanoi.
12:30 PM: Group lunch at a rest stop on the Nội Bài – Lào Cai expressway in Tuyên Quang province.
05:30 PM: The group arrives back in Hanoi. End of the tour.

DEPARTURE SCHEDULE

TOUR PRICES FOR CHILDREN
  • The age will be calculated from the date of birth to the departure date.
  • Children aged 10 and above: Charged at 100% of the adult price.
  • Children aged 5 to 9: Charged at 75% of the adult price – sharing the bed with parents.
  • Children under 5: Free of charge (child shares bed with parents, any additional expenses such as sightseeing tickets, meals for parents and the child will be taken care of by the parents). The company only collects the airfare portion (if applicable) according to the regulations of the airlines.

CANCELLATION POLICIES

A – DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATION POLICIES
1/ Deposit policy to secure a reservation
  • To officially secure a reservation and receive guests, customers need to make a deposit equivalent to 40% of the tour value.
  • The remaining amount must be paid to Meditours 15 days before the booked departure date.
2/ Guest-initiated cancellation policy
  • If a customer cancels the tour more than 15 days before the departure date, they will be penalized with an early cancellation fee equivalent to the deposit amount (40% of the tour value).
  • If a customer cancels the tour within 7 days of the departure date, they will be penalized with a late cancellation fee equivalent to the entire tour value (100% of the tour value).
3/ Organizer-initiated cancellation policy
  • The group will depart according to the schedule if there are 6 or more adults in the group.
  • If the group does not have at least 6 passengers, Meditours will arrange a new departure date and inform customers at least 15 working days before the departure date. If customers do not agree to the new departure date, they will receive a refund of the deposit.
  • If Meditours cannot organize the group to depart at the planned time due to uncontrollable reasons such as natural disasters, floods, war, etc., Meditours will arrange a new departure date, and any additional costs will be agreed upon by both parties.
Note: The cancellation penalties mentioned above follow the company’s regulations. We will be flexible in handling each specific case within reasonable limits.
