Itinerary
Day 1 Ha Giang City – Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Dong Van town (135km - lunch, dinner / overnight )

At 8 AM, the group will meet the local tour guide at the designated meeting point. After introductions and preparing our luggage, we will begin our journey to explore Hà Giang.

As the vehicle cruises along the winding road, we pass by lush green terraced fields and charming small villages. The first highlight of the day is the legendary Bắc Sum Pass. The feeling of conquering the summit and gazing at the sea of clouds below is indescribable. Continuing our journey, we will stop at Quản Bạ Heaven Gate to admire the panoramic view of the valley and the magnificent Twin Mountains.

After a hearty lunch in Yên Minh town, the group will set off to conquer Thẩm Mã Pass. This pass, with its winding hairpin turns, challenges the courage of anyone who traverses it.

In Đồng Văn, we will visit the palace of the H’mong king, a unique architectural work with a rich historical background. In the evening, we will be invited to stay with a local H’mong family to rest and experience the daily life of the people here.

Dinner, featuring local specialties and aromatic corn wine by the warm fire, will be an unforgettable experience.

Day 2 Dong Van town – Lung Cu Flag pole - Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac ( 100km - breakfast, lunch, dinner / overnight )

8:00 AM: Breakfast in the town

If you visit Đồng Văn on the weekend, make sure to stop by the Đồng Văn Market. The market is not only a bustling place for buying and selling goods but also a meeting point for local ethnic groups. You can find various specialties of the highlands such as brocade fabrics, seeds, honey, corn wine, etc. Don’t forget to try the delicious thắng cố dish here.

Suggested breakfast dishes:Sour pho, steamed rolled rice cakes, five-colored sticky rice, pate bread… These are familiar dishes that can easily be found in eateries around town.

**Highlights of the day:

– Lũng Cú Flag Tower: Here, you can not only admire the national flag flying at the northernmost point of mainland Vietnam but also enjoy the majestic panoramic view of the cat ear-shaped rocky mountains.

– Northernmost Point: Don’t forget to take a souvenir photo at the national landmark marking the northernmost point.

– Lô Lô Chải Village: Visit Lô Lô Chải Village to learn about the unique culture and lifestyle of the local people. You can explore stilt houses, watch the women embroider and weave, and enjoy traditional dances and music.

– French Colonial Fortress in Đồng Văn: This ancient fortress is one of the unique architectural structures left by the French in Vietnam. Here, you can explore heroic historical stories and admire the unique architecture of the fortress.

After visiting the highlighted spots, you can take some time to stroll around the old quarter of Đồng Văn. Enjoy a cup of coffee at a small roadside cafe and observe the daily life of the locals.

Continue to Mèo Vạc after lunch

– Sky Pass: This pass is not only famous for its challenging hairpin turns but also offers visitors stunning natural scenery.

– Mã Pí Lèng Pass: This is one of the most beautiful passes in Vietnam. You’ll be amazed by the sheer cliffs, winding rivers, and charming villages nestled in the mountains.

– Hmong Villages: On the way, you’ll come across Hmong villages. Stop by one of these villages to interact and learn about the local lifestyle.

Day 3Meo Vac – Lung Phin – Ngam La - Du Gia (110km - breakfast, lunch, dinner / overnight )

At 8 AM, we immersed ourselves in the bustling crowd and enjoyed a simple yet flavorful breakfast that captured the essence of the mountains. From steaming hot bánh cuốn to spicy and sour pho, and other local specialties, the culinary experiences were unforgettable.

After breakfast, we spent the entire morning exploring the Mèo Vạc market. The market day is a lively portrayal of local life, with a wide array of goods ranging from fresh produce, exquisite handicrafts, to distinctive spices. The vibrant chatter, colorful traditional costumes, and cheerful atmosphere created a truly festive vibe.

On the way back, we stopped by various ethnic villages. The stilt houses perched on the mountainsides, the lush green terraced fields, and the friendly smiles of the locals left a deep impression on us. We particularly couldn’t miss Dốc M—a treacherous yet beautiful route in Hà Giang. The feeling of conquering the steep slope and admiring the magnificent scenery below was truly wonderful.

We took a lunch break at Mậu Duệ village, where we enjoyed rustic dishes prepared by the locals. After a short nap, we continued our journey by bicycle to Du Già village.

The road to Du Già winds around the mountains, passing through the majestic Sa Li pass and stopping at the picturesque Lũng Hồ viewpoint. Here, we could admire the panoramic view of the valley with its vast green fields. Finally, we reached the Du Già waterfall—a natural masterpiece with crystal-clear water cascading from above.

In the evening, we checked into a cozy homestay with a Tày ethnic family. We gathered around a warm fire, enjoying a hearty dinner with the local family. The stories about daily life and the customs of the Tày people helped us gain a deeper understanding of the unique culture of this region.

Day 4Du Gia village – Lung Tam village - Ha Giang city (120km - breakfast, lunch )

8:00 AM: A Rustic Breakfast Amidst the Mountains

The new day begins with a cozy breakfast at a local home. Picture yourself sitting on the porch of a traditional stilt house, savoring a bowl of fragrant, spicy sour pho, or enjoying steaming hot bánh cuốn dipped in sweet and sour fish sauce, while the majestic mountain scenery unfolds before your eyes. The sounds of roosters crowing, dogs barking, and birds singing create a peaceful symphony of the highlands.

– Visit Du Già Market (on Saturday)

On Saturday morning, head to Du Già Market, one of the largest local markets for the Hmong people. Here, you’ll be dazzled by the vibrant colors of traditional brocade, fresh highland produce such as mountain apples and barley, and exquisite handicrafts. There’s nothing quite like immersing yourself in the bustling market atmosphere, sampling local delicacies, and shopping for meaningful souvenirs.

– Dương Thượng Scenic Viewpoint

After exploring the market, visit the Dương Thượng Scenic Viewpoint. From here, you can gaze out over the city of Hà Giang, with its clustered houses, winding roads, and lush green rice fields. This view will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience.

– Lùng Tám Village (Hemp Weaving Village)

In the afternoon, you can stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, take in the picturesque scenery, and enjoy the fresh air. And when night falls, dive into Hanoi’s nightlife, with its bars, restaurants, and diverse entertainment options.
